A 26-year-old Leonardtown woman died in a Saturday crash, authorities said Monday.
St. Mary’s County police said Kristen Lee Dix was driving north on Maryland Route 5 near Pin Cushion Road in Loveville at about 12:37 p.m. when her vehicle left the roadway, crossed the shoulder and struck several wooden fence posts and a telephone pole before coming to rest in a field.
Dix, who police said was wearing a seatbelt, died at the scene. Authorities do not believe speed or alcohol contributed to the crash.
