Man, 18, shot dead Tuesday night in D.C.

An 18-year-old District man was shot to death Tuesday night in Southeast Washington, police said.

Officers responding to a report of gunfire in the 3200 block of 23rd Street SE found Navarro A. Brown, of Southeast, bleeding from several wounds, police said. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.

The shooting is under investigation by homicide detectives and the motive remains unclear.

D.C. police offer rewards of up to $25,000 for information leading to convictions in homicide cases. They urge tipsters to call 202--727-9099 or 1-888-919-2746. Anonymous information can be submitted by text messaging 50411.
