Prince George’s County police were looking Sunday for an 18-year-old man who they think has information about a shooting Saturday that injured a toddler at a Glenarden apartment complex.

Officers want to question Deven Angel Matos in the investigation, Cpl. Evan Baxter said.

The victim, who turns 2 next month, was in his mother’s arms “a good distance away” from two armed suspects who began shooting at each other, Baxter said. The toddler was struck in the face by a stray bullet. He was taken to a hospital, where he was in critical but stable condition.

Police think the shooting, which occurred about 9:15 p.m. Saturday in the 3000 block of Brightseat Road, stemmed from a drug transaction.
