An Annapolis man has been charged with burglary and other offenses after allegedly breaking into a Severna Park library in an attempt to steal money.
Police officers responded to an alarm at the Severna Park Library in the unit block of W. McKinsey Road about 7:30 p.m. Friday, according to police.
After a search, a K-9 unit found Joseph D. Smith, 22, hiding in a storage room, police said.
Smith was charged with burglary, destruction of property, theft under $1,000 and other charges, police said.
