The Metropolitan Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man in Northeast Washington Saturday afternoon.
Police responded to the 700 block of Kenilworth Terrace about 1:40 p.m. where they found the man. He later died.
A police spokesman said a barricade was set up because officers believed a gunman may have still been at the scene, but no person was found.
The name or age of the victim has not yet been released.
