A man was fatally wounded Tuesday night in an apartment complex in the District Heights area, Prince George’s County police said.
Officers received a call for the sound of gunshots and responded to the 1600 block of Addison Road South about 8:15 p.m., said Cpl. Larry Johnson, a spokesman. Police found a man with critical gunshot wounds and he was taken to a hospital.
The victim, who police did not identify, was pronounced dead at the hospital. Police did not know what prompted the shooting late Tuesday.
