Man fatally stabbed in Southeast D.C. identified

A 25-year-old Southeast Washington man has been charged with murder in a man’s Saturday stabbing death, police said.

Police responded to the 3900 block of 13th Street SE around 3 a.m. to find Vance Darnell Harris II, 28, of Southeast, lying in a hallway suffering from multiple stab wounds, according to authorities.

Emergency workers pronounced him dead at the scene, police said.

On Sunday evening police said Dominique Bassil had been charged with second-degree murder while armed in the killing.
