Man flashes jogger near Glen Echo, then crashes car and is caught, police say

Flash.

Crash.

Montgomery County Police have charged an Alexandria man with indecent exposure for an incident near the Glen Echo area of Bethesda after the suspect was involved in a collision after allegedly exposing himself to a jogger.

At about 2:30 p.m. Saturday, a female jogger approached an officer called to the scene of a crash at MacArthur Boulevard and Oberlin Avenue. The jogger identified one man involved in the accident as the driver of a car that had pulled alongside her earlier and asked for directions about a half-mile away from the accident, police said.

When she went to the car, the driver was engaged in a sexual act, according to the police account. The driver fled from the area near Walhonding Road and was then spotted by the jogger as she passed the car crash, police said.

Police arrested Edwin L. Morejon, 28, of the 2600 block of Arlington Drive in Alexandria, and charged him with indecent exposure.
