Man found dead in D.C. apartment

A foul odor coming from an apartment in Northeast Washington led to the discovery of a dead body, District police said.

D.C. police said they were called to an apartment in the 3400 block of Minnesota Ave NE to investigate a report of a foul odor. Officials said they found the body of Thomas Glenn Lipscomb, 49, inside.

A D.C. medical examiner ruled Lipscomb’s death a homicide resulting from blunt force trauma.

Police are looking for more information about how Lipscomb died and ask the public to call (202) 727-9099 or 1-888-919-CRIME with any information
