Man killed by school bus in Gaithersburg

A man was killed Thursday morning after being struck by a Montgomery County school bus in Gaithersburg, police said.

The victim was crossing Clopper Road just before 6:30 a.m. when he was struck by the unoccupied school bus, police said. The bus remained on the scene after the accident.

Police are on the scene investigating the incident, and Clopper Road is shut down between Firstfield Road and Metropolitan Grove Road.
