2 found fatally shot in Forest Heights

Two people were shot and killed overnight in Forest Heights, Prince George’s County police said.

Police were called to 600 block of Modoc Lane to investigate a report of gunshots around 1:40 a.m., said Cpl. Evan Baxter, a police spokesman. When they arrived, officers found two people suffering from gunshot wounds and both were pronounced dead at the scene, Baxter said.

No arrests have been made in the shootings and police are still investigating the motive for the killings. Baxter said the bodies were found outdoors and rain is complicating the search for forensic evidence.
