A Waldorf man was shot and killed early Monday morning in Fort Washington, Prince George’s County police said.
Officers found the man at 1:04 a.m. lying in the street outside Martini’s Restaurant and Lounge in the 700 block of Cady Drive, authorities said. He was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police identified the man as 28-year-old James Anthony Jackson Jr.
It remains unclear why Jackson was shot, authorities said. Martini’s Web site indicates it hosted a concert Sunday night, but it is unclear if there was any dispute inside or outside the bar that precipitated the shooting, said Cpl. Mike Rodriguez, a Prince George’s County police spokesman.
