Man pleads guilty in sex-trafficking of teen

An Adelphi man pleaded guilty Wednesday to trafficking a 15-year-old runaway girl as part of a multistate prostitution scheme, authorities said.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Virginia, Julio Cesar Revolorio Ramos, 29, pleaded guilty to sex trafficking a child. He is scheduled to be sentenced Feb. 8 and could be sentenced to life in prison.

Revolorio Ramos prostituted Hispanic woman and girls in the District, Maryland, Virginia and Delaware, authorities said, advertising his business by handing out cards. He prostituted a number of women, authorities said, paying “rent” to the MS-13 gang and to co-conspirators in Mexico.

Revolorio Ramos is a Guatemalan native who is in the United States illegally, authorities said.
