Man shot dead in Southeast D.C.

District police identified a man found shot to death Wednesday night behind a pizza shop as 30-year-old Moeconi Crutchfield, of Southeast.

Officers were called to the 2400 block of Minnesota Avenue around 9:30 p.m., said Lt. Joe Trippi.

The victim was found behind Mario’s Pizza House, said Officer Hugh Carew, a police spokesman.

The man was taken to a hospital, where he died.
