A man who was fatally shot Monday morning in Northeast Washington has been identified as a 27-year-old man, according to D.C. police.
Dominic Anthony Davis, of Washington, died in a hospital shortly after he was found wounded and lying on the street in the 500 block of 57th St. NE, police said.
The shooting occurred a few minutes before 10:45 a.m, police said. The streets in that block are lined with an apartment building, some small one-story houses and a funeral home.
Authorities did not release further details of the shooting. Police are offering a reward up to $25,000 for information leading to an arrest and prosecution, and anyone with information is urged to call police at 202-727-9099 or text 50411 to the department’s tip line.
The killing is the District’s second homicide of 2013.
