Man shot in Northeast D.C.

A man was shot and wounded Thursday night in Northeast Washington, D.C. police said.

Police responded to the report of a shooting at Bladensburg Avenue and V Street about 10:43 p.m., said Officer Hugh Carew, a spokesman. The victim was found conscious and breathing, but no other information could be immediately learned about his condition or the circumstances of the shooting.
