Man shot Wednesday morning in Southeast D.C.

A man was shot several times in Southeast Washington Wednesday morning.

Police said homicide detectives were on the scene, though they would not immediately confirm whether he had died.

The victim, who police have not identified, was taken to an area hospital.

The shooting happened at about 8:30 a.m. in the 4600 block of Hillside Road, near the Prince George’s County line.

Police have not yet made any arrests in the incident.
