Man stabbed Thursday night in Northwest dies

A man who stumbled into a downtown recreation center Thursday evening after being stabbed has died, police said.

D.C. police said they are investigating the death of Dalontray Williams, 19, of of Northwest Washington as a homicide.

Police found Williams in the lobby of Kennedy Recreation Center in the 1400 block of Seventh Street NW shortly after 7 p.m. He was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Authorities said that the stabbing happened a block away, in the 1500 block of Seventh St NW.
