A man was shot and critically wounded in Northeast Washington Wednesday afternoon, D.C. police said.
Residents heard gunshots and called police to report a person on the ground in the 1300 block of Saratoga Avenue about 5 p.m., said Officer Hugh Carew, a police spokesman.
A man was found with life-threatening injuries and police called homicide detectives to the scene to investigate, officials said.
