Maryland man allegedly sold drugs from his ice cream truck

A Waldorf, Md., man is facing drug charges for allegedly selling marijuana out of an ice cream truck, the Associated Press reports.

Charles County sheriff’s deputies stopped the truck, operated by 20-year-old Alexander Hoskins, at the intersection of Bayswater Court and Sheffield Circle after receiving a tip through Crime Solvers on March 30.

With the help of a drug-detection dog, deputies found bags of marijuana and cash hidden in Hoskins’s underwear, the AP reported.

Authorities believe Hoskins had been selling the drugs to teenagers and young adults. He was also legitimately selling ice cream out of the truck.

Hoskins was charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and released on bond.
