Md. man dies after Saturday motorcycle accident

A Chaptico man died after a motorcycle accident Saturday afternoon, police said.

Officers responding to Maddox Road near Notley Hall Road in Chaptico about 1:45 p.m. found a motorcycle that crossed the roadway, hit a curb and went airborne, ejecting its driver, according to the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office.

The driver, Michael E. Daisey, 43, was taken to a hospital, where he died. Authorities believe he was unable to manage the motorcycle during a high-speed turn after passing another vehicle.
