An employee of a Glen Burnie coin shop shot and killed a man who had broken into the store Tuesday morning, police said.
Bryan Keith Phillip, 30, of Chester, Md, forced his way into the Arundel County Coin Shop at 7418 Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard around 6:30 a.m. and encountered the employee, according to police.
During an altercation, the employee shot Phillip, who was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
Police declined to identify the employee, citing “further investigation.”
