A man arrested this week for allegedly sexually assaulting a family member works as a member of the U.S. Secret Service, people with information confirmed on Thursday.
Hector Reynaldo Cuellar, 51, of the 2900 block of Wetherburn Court in Woodbridge, was charged with three counts of aggravated sexual battery and three counts of taking indecent liberties with a child by a custodian this week, according to Prince William County police. He was arrested Monday.
Police say the victim was a 14-year-old girl and was sexually assaulted by her family member between August and October this year.
U.S. Secret Service spokesman Brian Leary would not confirm any details about where Cuellar worked or his role. But Commonwealth’s Attorney Paul B. Ebert said that Cuellar has been part of President Obama’s detail.
“We are aware of the arrest of this employee. He has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of judicial action,” said Leary, who declined to comment further.
Cuellar is being held without bond, and a court date has not yet been set. FoxNews.com originally reported the news.
