Prince George’s County police are looking for two men who they think robbed at least six gas stations, convenience stores and fast food joints in a weekend crime spree.
In each case, police said, the men wore masks and flashed semi-automatic handguns. They seemed to park a newer model gray Dodge Charger near the side or rear of the businesses they robbed, police said.
Police said the men first struck about 10:25 p.m. Friday, hitting the Shell gas station in the 13800 block of Annapolis Road in Bowie. The next night, they moved to the Safeway gas station in the 12400 block of Fairwood Parkway in Glenn Dale and the McDonalds on Ritchie Road in Capitol Heights, police said.
Early Sunday morning, police said, the men continued their spree at two 7-Elevens — one in the 7400 block of Central Avenue in Capitol Heights and the other on Watkins Park Drive in Kettering, police said. Their final stop was the Chesapeake Market in the 13800 block of Annapolis Road in Glenn Dale, about 4 a.m, police said.
Police said they are exploring whether the men might be responsible for other robberies at businesses in Prince George’s and D.C. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS.
