Missing teen girl’s body found in Baltimore

BALTIMORE — Authorities say the body of a missing 13-year-old girl has been found underneath plastic trash bags in northeast Baltimore.

Detective Donny Moses, a police spokesman, says the girl’s body was found by her 16-year-old brother in the 1600 block of Cliftview Avenue about 6 p.m. Sunday. Moses says the body had suffered from trauma.

Family members identified the victim as Monae Turnage. They said she had gone out roller skating with friends on Saturday night and did not return home. They had reported her missing early Sunday.

Officials say the girl’s body will undergo an autopsy Monday the state medical examiner’s office.
