Mob attacks twice in No. Va.

Three people were beaten in Northern Virginia in two separate incidents that occurred within five minutes of each other on Saturday night, authorities said.

One of the victims, a 31-year-old man who was delivering pizza, was robbed and severely beaten around 10 p.m. in the 14100 block of Mathews Drive in the Woodbridge area of Prince William County, police said.

In the other incident, two men, one 35 and one 47, were attacked nearby, in the 14400 block of Jefferson Davis Highway, police said. They escaped with minor injuries, according to police.

Five attackers were involved in each incident, and descriptions indicated that they were between 16 and 20 years old.
