Authorities: MS-13 gang leader ran underage prostitution ring

An MS-13 gang leader from Springfield was arrested Tuesday for allegedly running a prostitution ring involving underage runaway girls, the FBI and U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Virginia announced.

Rances Ulices Amaya, 23, also known as “Blue” or “Murder,” was charged with sex trafficking for allegedly recruiting johns and providing security for their appointments with the underage girls, according to authorities.

Amaya heads the Guanacos Lokotes Salvatrucha clique of MS-13, authorities said.

Amaya is accused of threatening the girls and physically assaulting them if they did not want to have sex with clients. He carried a machete as part of his security duties and had sex with the juveniles for free, authorities said.

If convicted, Amaya faces a minimum of 10 years in prison and a maximum of life in prison.
