VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Virginia Beach authorities have charged a second suspect in the fatal shooting of an off-duty Norfolk police officer in 2010.
Media outlets report that 24-year-old Kareem Turner of Norfolk faces a second-degree murder charge stemming from the death of 25-year-old Victor Decker.
Turner also is charged with a robbery that occurred on Oct. 26, 2010, the same day that Decker’s body was found outside his pickup truck in Virginia Beach.
Turner is being held at the Virginia Beach jail.
A co-defendant, 20-year-old Raymond Lewis Perry, was indicted on a capital murder charge earlier this month. Perry is serving a sentence in a federal facility in South Carolina for a series of violent robberies that occurred before Decker’s death.
