Man charged in fatal D.C. stabbing

A 25-year-old Washington man has been charged with murder after a fatal stabbing Friday morning in the 1300 block of New York Avenue, NE.

Reginald Edward Green, of Northeast, was detained by police at the scene around 10:45 a.m. and charged with murder, according to a Metropolitan Police Department news release.

Police found Northeast resident Alfonza Flythe, 35, suffering from multiple stabbing wounds. He later died at an area hospital, according to the news release.
