NVCC Woodbridge campus closed due to bomb threat

Students, teachers and staff at the Woodbridge campus of Northern Virginia Community College have evacuated the school grounds after a school employee received a bomb threat around noon Tuesday.

According to the threat, the bomb was reported to be near the school’s main building and a state police bomb dog has been called in to check the area, according to a news release.

Area roads remain open and nearby Freedom High School has not been affected, according to police.

The Web site for Northern Virginia Community College said that the campus has been closed for the day. Prince William County police are providing further updates via their Facebook page.
