Off-duty Prince George’s officer charged with DUI

A Prince George’s County police officer has been charged with driving under the influence while off duty, authorities said.

Prince George’s County police said that Daniel Gonzalez, 38, crashed his marked police cruiser about 5:15 a.m. Saturday at Route 1 and Tanglewood Drive.

Gonzalez, a six-year member of the force, was not injured and has been placed on administrative leave. No other cars were involved in the accident, police said.
