One arrested in Mount Rainier slaying

Prince George’s County police have charged a D.C. man with the fatal shooting of a 25-year-old in Mount Rainier last week, authorities said Tuesday.

Ronald Jefferson Short, 27, is charged with first-degree murder in the slaying of Reginald McNeil, of Fort Washington, who was shot to death Nov. 14 in the 3800 block of 37th Street in Mount Rainier. Officer Edward Martin, a Prince George’s County police spokesman, said police were still probing the relationship between the two men and what might have sparked the shooting.
