A 47-year-old Frederick man died Monday night in a collision on Interstate 270, police said.
Police responded to I-270 northbound north of the Montgomery-Frederick county line shortly before 10 p.m. and found that a southbound Ford Windstar had crossed into the media and struck a northbound Ford Escape, authorities said.
The Windstar then hit a northbound Lexus RX330, police said.
The driver of the Escape, Peter Anthony Halpert, was killed in the crash, police said. The Windstar’s driver is still in a hospital, while the Lexus’s driver has been released.
The investigation continues, and no charges have been filed.
