One man found wounded outside courthouse in Fairfax; 2nd wounded man goes to hospital

Fairfax County police found one wounded man late Thursday night outside the county courthouse in downtown Fairfax, police officials said. A second wounded man arrived at an area hospital a short time later.

Police were investigating a report that the two men were wounded during an incident at a Chantilly area bar late Thursday night. Officers were called to the courthouse shortly before midnight and the caller reported a man had been shot and driven from Chantilly, said Officer Shelley Broderick, a spokeswoman.

A short while later police received a report that a man with apparent stab wounds arrived at Inova Fair Oaks hospital.

No further details were available early Friday.
