One suspect in three robberies

Police are looking for one man they believe robbed three banks in Arlington County and Alexandria.

A BB&T Bank at 2947 S. Glebe Rd. in Arlington was robbed Dec. 14 at 2:15 p.m. The second robbery occurred six days later on Dec. 20 at 2:45 p.m. at an Alexandria Bank of America at 600 N. Washington St. One week later, a third bank was robbed in Alexandria — the PNC Bank at 1700 Diagonal Rd., at about 2:10 p.m. Dec. 27.

No one was injured in the robberies and the suspect left each bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.


The suspect is described as a black male, between 40 and 45 years old, who is between six feet and six-foot-four, and weighing about 200 pounds.
