A pedestrian was struck by a car in Loudoun County early Monday morning, authorities said.
The crash happened about 3 a.m. on Route 7, near Davenport Drive in Sterling.
Officials said the victim suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The crash remains under investigation. The two right lanes of westbound Route 7 were blocked for much of the morning. All lanes reopened shortly after 8 a.m.
No additional information about the circumstances of the crash was immediately available.
