Police: After search, drugs, alligator found in Md.

Michael Golden (AAPD)
Police executing a search warrant in Jessup found marijuana, drug paraphernalia — and a three-foot alligator, authorities said.

On Friday, authorities went to a home in the 7500 block of Gleneagle Drive as part of a broader investigation, Anne Arundel County police said Monday.

They found approximately 159 grams of marijuana, cash, drug paraphernalia and substances that were still being investigated, police said.

Investigators also found a three-foot American alligator, which police said cannot be kept in a private residence. It was taken to Animal Control in what appeared to be in good health, police said, and later moved to a facility for exotic animals.
