Police confirm double homicide in Arlington deaths

The two mens’ bodies found in the Hall’s Hill area of Arlington Tuesday morning were the result of a double homicide, police have confirmed.

Officials declined to say how the men were killed, but police spokesman Dustin Sternbeck said he would update the public as soon as he can about the case.

Keefe Spriggs, 59, and Carl Moten, 31, were found after a friend could not reach one of the men and asked a maintenance man to check on them.

Spriggs lived in the apartment in the 1900 block of North Culpeper Street. Moten, who had a job but was homeless, was staying there.

Spriggs and Moten were the third and fourth homicides in Arlington in the past two weeks. For more than two years prior, Arlington did not have a homicide.
