The man found shot dead in Northeast Washington Monday morning was identified as Anthony Garland Rice, 58.
Rice, of Northwest, was found suffering from gunshot wounds at about 11:05 a.m. in the 3100 block of Fort Lincoln Drive NE. He was declared dead at the scene.
Although Rice’s body was found near Marshall Elementary School, officials said there was no connection between the death and the school.
