Police identify three killed in D.C. car crash

District detectives are investigating a car crash that killed three people early Saturday in Southeast Washington. It happened when the driver lost control of her car after speeding over a speed bump, police said.

Killed were TaCrava Jenee Martin, 32, Stanley Kevin Lemon, 20, and Jalante Robertson, 19, all of Southeast. A fourth person in the car was taken to an area hospital and is in serious condition, according to police.

At about 2 a.m., a 2007 Mitsubishi Galant was speeding in the 1300 block of Mississippi Avenue when the driver lost control, police said. After going over the speed bump, her car careened in to Oxon Run Park, flipped over and hit two trees before stopping, according to police.

Three of the four people in the car were ejected, police said.
