Police investigate fatal Beltway crash

Maryland State Police are investigating a single-vehicle fatal crash that occurred Tuesday morning on the Capital Beltway.

Lt. R.L. Butler, commander of the state police’s Forestville barracks, said the crash occurred about 9 a.m. on the inner loop of the Beltway near Route 5. He said he could not provide any details of the incident except to say that it involved one vehicle and that one person was killed.
