Police investigate suspected meth lab at Va. university

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — Police are investigating a suspected methamphetamine lab that was found in a dormitory room at Christopher Newport University.

Media outlets report that authorities evacuated the Wilson residence hall Friday evening after police found a substance in one of the rooms.

Christopher Newport officials say items recovered from the room are being analyzed by a lab in Norfolk.

No other details were immediately available.
