Police investigating possible murder-suicide in Montgomery County

Montgomery County police are investigating what they say is a possible murder-suicide in the Silver Spring area.

Officers were called to an apartment in the 13600 block of Colgate Way about 10:35 a.m. Sunday to check out a report of a missing person, police said.

Inside the apartment, police said, officers found the bodies of a 49-year-old man and his 39-year-old wife. Both had evidence of trauma, police said, and officers discovered what they characterized as a suicide note.
