Police: Man found fatally shot in Capitol Heights

A man was found dead from an apparent gunshot wound in Capitol Heights on Thursday morning, Prince George’s County police said.

Officers responded to a scene near Pepper Mill Drive and Drylog Street shortly before 7 a.m. for a report of a suspicious vehicle, police said.

They found Nicholas Andrew Battle, 21, of the 100 block of West Mill Road in Capitol Heights, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Police did not immediately disclose a suspect or motive.
