Police release photos from 7-Eleven store robbery

Security photos and video footage of stickups don’t always have the “wow” factor, but two photos released Tuesday by Prince William County police after a 7-Eleven robbery do.

The camera inside the store at 4804 Dale Boulevard in Woodbridge captured some of what it might feel like for a clerk when someone trains a gun on you.

The armed robbery occurred at 3:18 a.m. Sunday, according to police. The pair took an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

Police attention was drawn to the blue part of the gun held by the first suspect to pass through the store’s door. It may be a handgun outfitted to fire simulated ammunition — like one used in weapons training — but “since we don’t have it in hand, we don’t know what he had,” said Officer Jonathan Perok, a county police spokesman.
