Police search for suspect in fatal shooting in Oxon Hill

Police are searching for James Howard Braddy, Jr. in connection with the slaying of a man in Oxon Hill. (Prince George’s County Police)

James Howard Braddy Jr., 35, of the 10000 block of Moreland Street in Fort Washington, is accused of killing Alejandro Johnson, of the 7900 block of Allard Court in Glen Burnie, shortly before 12:30 p.m. Sunday.

Police said the shooting happened outside an apartment complex in the 1100 block of Kennebec Street in Oxon Hill.

The victim was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Homicide detectives said the shooting was “domestic-related,” but officials did not provide details on the men’s relationship or the motive behind the shooting.

Police have obtained an arrest warrant for Braddy, charging him with first-degree murder.
