Pr. William police search for two men in Woodbridge homicide

Prince William County police are searching for two men in connection with a homicide late Tuesday in Woodbridge.

A man was discovered lying in the street in the 15000 block of Cardin Place in Woodbridge around 11 p.m, police say. Witnesses said, according to police, that two men pulled up in a mini-van and left the victim in the street before fleeing.

The victim was later pronounced dead at the scene. Police say the killing does not appear random.

Police are waiting for an autopsy to confirm the cause of death before releasing it, said police department spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok. He also said in a statement that police are waiting for the Medical Examiner’s Office to identify the victim.

Police are searching for two men, one of unknown age with black curly hair, between 5-foot-5 and 5-foot-7 and a thin build. He was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt with a hood.

The second man is Hispanic or white, around the same height and build as the first and was last seen wearing a black short sleeve t-shirt with a square design and red and white colors and a black stocking cap, according to police.

Police are also searching for a white, older model mini-van.

The homicide is the first of the year in Prince William County.
