An on-duty U.S. Secret Service officer riding a motorcycle was hurt in a Friday morning collision with another vehicle on I-295 North near Malcolm X Avenue SE, a Secret Service spokesman said.
The officer was taken to a hospital by helicopter, said Secret Service spokesman Ed Donovan.
Additional details were not immediately available. The interstate northbound was closed to traffic for the investigation of the crash that occurred shortly before 10 a.m.
The officer was not part of an escort at the time of the accident, Donovan said.
