Police believe an assault on a 30-year-old woman in Annandale may be the 15th case linked to a serial groper in Fairfax County.

The woman was jogging in the 4400 block of Briarwood Court near Patriot Drive at around 5:45 p.m. Thursday, when she saw a man suddenly approach her from Ivymount Court, Fairfax County police said.

The man grabbed her, she yelled and he fled, police said.

The suspect was described as white or Hispanic, 25 to 30 years of age and around 5’7” tall. He wore a green fleece jacket, dark pants and dark shoes.

The suspected groper has generally struck teens and women in their 20s in and around the Springfield area. The attacks began the first week of September and most recent before Thursday’s attack was on Dec. 13.
