Police have ruled the death of a District woman found in a Prince George’s County creek a homicide.
The body of Shavon Phillips, 22, was found in a Fort Washington area creek on the evening of Aug. 1. In a Tuesday evening news release, authorities said hear death had been ruled a homicide but did not say how she was killed.
Police continue to investigate.
Phillips was reported missing in the District in late July after she dropped off her child at a day care center and then disappeared, authorities have said. Her body was found two days later.
